Our Policy
Security
We take security very seriously. We have implemented a bank approved encryption system to protect your transactions with us. Any personal details entered including credit card payments will automatically be encrypted using the GeoTrust Quick SSL Secure Sign. You will see a padlock symbol at the bottom of the screen confirming this so you can purchase on-line in complete confidence. In line with new bank guidelines we also ask clients booking either on-line or via the telephone to get the cardholder to complete and sign a ??permission to charge credit card form?. This form must be either faxed or posted back to us to finalise your reservation. We feel this also offers our clients extra security and better protection against fraudulent use of their credit cards by third parties.
We also have security procedures covering the storage and disclosure of your information to prevent unauthorised access to comply with the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998. This means that sometimes we may ask you for proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.
Whilst we have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the information you provide will be kept in a secure form safe from unauthorised access, the internet is not a secure environment. We cannot guarantee that the information will be secure during transmission to our web server.
It is your responsibility to keep your passwords confidential and use the security devices offered. Our staff would ask you e-mail credit card or other personal information only via the secure site or fax directly to our office. Our security measures depend on you complying with this obligation and we are not responsible for any breach of privacy due to your failure either to keep your passwords secret or to use other security devices correctly. Nor are we responsible for security arising out of intentional and / or unauthorised attempts to access the site, for examples, by computer hackers.
